Well, i started feeling a little crook on the weekend. Being the manly man that i am, i figured it would pass and that i was perfectly ok to work. So Monday, off to work i go, feeling like crap, but hey i can deal. Tuesday, feel a little worse, but theres a lot on so i go in. Am 3/4 of the way through an install on-site when i realise that i am about to fall over, so i go home. Wednesday i feel as if i have swallowed barbed wire, and can barely talk, feel slightly feverish, so smart me, i stay home and book a docs appointment. Doc says its probably a virus, plenty of bed rest, and go back to work when you feel better, should be any day now. Managed to get to the chemist last night for some panadeine 15 and some numbing throat lozenges, neither of which did much for me.
This morning i wake up, and feel like death. My throat hurts worse, my glands are swollen beyond belief, i can croak, but talking is an effort. Will head back to the docs this arvo for a second opinion. In the meantime, i am lying here feeling really ill, and wishing i was at work.
Also going to miss the movember gala tonight, because there is absolutely no way at all that i am leaving bed for anything other than doctors or chemists.
theres a moral to this story i just cant think of one right now.
Well, today was election day, as predicted labour back in, but i am guessing that they wont make it past another term. Steve Bracks is nothing more than a fence sitting caretaker, who will be remembered only for shafting the everyman on the Eastlink project. I dont know if Ted Ballieau is any better, but i suspect he will be. He has a certain amount of Kennet flair about him. Like him or hate him noone will ever accuse Jeff of having rested on his laurels.
Anyway, I actually voted yesterday (friday) as early voting means less queueing. Today was spent with my lovely Rachel, took ehr to the doctors in the morning, then it was a wander around chadstone for a little while before coming home and preparing for this evenings video night.
Video night was supposed to be Guitar Hero 2, followed by Alien and Aliens. In a change of plans we watched a episode of Qi, an episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, a few eps of Robot Chicken, and then we watched Casino Royale. 10 people in total attended, and it was quite nice. General consensus was that it was a very different Bond movie and most didnt really like it. For my own part i found it quite enjoyable if a little long.
Welcome to my new vanity site. I am not entirely sure what I am going to do here, but it is more than likely going to be a journey into my life. I am an individual, i have my own thoughts and opinions, and I guess if you keep checking back here, you will slowly get to see them.
